JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bid Manager is responsible for managing and delivering winning bids for the company. This role involves working closely with various departments, including sales, technical teams, project management, and finance, to produce high-quality proposals that meet the needs of our clients. The Bid Manager will lead and coordinate all aspects of the bid process, from initial qualification through to contract award, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and review opportunities for bid submissions to ensure they meet the company criteria;
  • Lead the end-to-end bid process;
  • Analysing the tender document to understand the needs of the clients;
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of bids;
  • Ensure all bids are submitted on time and meet the client’s requirements;
  • Develop and write compelling proposals, ensuring they align with the clients’ needs and objectives;
  • Manage the bid review process, gathering input from relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all proposals are formatted correctly, free of errors, and consistent in style;
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements and gather necessary information;
  • Present proposals and negotiate contract terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements;
  • Develop bid strategies and win themes tailored to specific opportunities;
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses of competing bids;
  • Ensure that all bids align with the company’s overall strategic goals and objectives;
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bid process;
  • Ensure all bids comply with the company risk management policies and procedures;
  • Conduct post-bid reviews and analysis to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement;
  • Maintain records of all bid activities, outcomes, and feedback for future reference.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, or a related field;
  • 3+ years of experience as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, or a similar role;
  • Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts;
  • Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development, and contract negotiation;
  • Proficiency in using bid management software and MS Office;
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review;
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels;
  • Willingness to travel on demand as required.
