Anneli Janssen has worked in sales since 2001 and in her words, she never wanted to do anything else. She chose Strypes because it’s a young company that’s also established and has room for creative thinking. “The most important thing in sales is to have empathy. Try to understand what kind of sales and deals your company needs. On the other hand, you have your customer and you have to have a deep understanding of what they need. And you have to try to match those together.”
Mariyan Iliev joined Strypes when he decided to grow his career. He is a Javascript Developer who loves to get out of his comfort zone and is curious about learning new technologies. Mariyan took part of our Beer.js event as he loves to challenge himself by speaking in public and teaching on stage. “At the moment I’m developing my Javascript skills. I mainly work with React and Vue but I also want to focus on the backend technologies like Node.js, Deno. After a few years in the industry, you realize that if you want to grow you need to be involved in the full development process, the frontend and the backend part.”
A legacy system might become a burden for businesses at some point. Outdated software often fails to meet the changes in the business processes of the company as the maintenance is expensive and the accessibility from remote locations.
As most of the people who work at Strypes, Nadya was referred by a friend. She remembers this as the time when she didn’t have a technical background and was assisting the C-level management team. Interviewed by the founder Koen van Wijk and Todor, Nadya found the interview to be very friendly and showing a personal attitude. Starting at an administrative position, her vision was to gain technical knowledge.

Taking charge of the issues, the challenges, and the solutions.”
Seven years ago, Denislav’s journey at Strypes started with an interview with the founder Koen van Wijk and Todor Marinov who is now the current CEO. This interview impressed him and he still remembers it. Denislav shares that what made him join Strypes was that he was asked about his personality a lot. “They asked me where I saw myself in 10 years and I told them that I wanted to build a family and also build a house.” Even today, Denislav still holds that dream and plans to achieve it, looking for the perfect place. “For me, building a house is an intimate experience, especially when I want to do it myself.”
Jermain Smits joined Strypes in late 2016 when he was approached by his Operation Manager Ad van Dongen and our Sales and Marketing Director Eric Damhuis. There was an opportunity for him to become the Account Manager for ASML. At the time, the role wasn’t clearly defined and this gave him the freedom to shape it.
